Slowing Down as a Feminine Leader

The Epidemic of Rushing Women

We are in an epidemic of rushing women. Instead of slowing down as a strategy, women are speeding up and burning out.

Women are wanting to get to the next step quickly. Instead of slowing down, they are feeling the urgency to make more money and impact- fast. Build and scale the business, climb the corporate ladder -fast.

The external messages women are seeing are pushing them out of their power into performance led leadership. When their soul is craving something different- a slower, more meaningful way of living and leading.

And in this sense of rushing, women are becoming disconnected from their essence and the reason they held this vision in the first place.

Hiding behind “bold action” and the fear of missing out is making women do more (not in the right way). Instead, they losing their ability to be present and sit with who they are while they build.

To make up for this insecurity they end up working long hours. Not being able to make decisions and over preparing launches to keep up with what they feel they need to be doing.

Leading women to adopt strategies and work with mentors who don’t align with their values or vision. Rather they have adopted a sexy strategy thinking it will fast track their success. Only for it to fall apart when they realise someone else’s strategy doesn’t work for them.

Slowing Down As a Reset

In my world, my clients move differently. With meaning, mastery and magnetism. Slowing down to them feels like a warm hug to their nervous system. It enables them to be truly present, do even better work and be able to listen and act on their inner guidance without the noise.

They move at a pace for their needs. They replace pushing with presence, perfectionism with peace and over achieving with alignment.

At the heart of it, they honour their feminine capacity.

They take time to fine tune their gifts and work on deepening their expertise because what they are building is more than a business, it is a mission. This is a way of living for them.

When you are able to deeply rest without worrying about whether you will drop off the algorithm or be forgotten, it becomes a different way of living and leading.

I am not talking about being lazy or not doing anything.

I am talking about the two extremes being marketed to women at the moment pulling them in different directions.

The soft life vs the hard hustle.

However, there is an in between that enables you to feel calm, yet convicted where you can still nurture your genius and show up in a way that honours your rhythms and essence. Slowing down is part of this. Stepping into the identity of a woman who feels grounded enough to slow down and feel that she can rest is another part.

Becoming Attuned to Your Rhythm

Instead of feeling anxious that you “haven’t made it yet” you begin feel attuned to your needs and unique rhythm.

Because the reality is that our best work is brought forth when you are present with ourselves. And this is difficult to do when you are stuck in survival mode. Like a child that needs to be nurtured, it is the same for you, your expertise and your path.

It is when you prioritise  slowing down, authenticity over achieving, and presence over performing you will begin to relax into yourself, as a woman and leader.

If you feel called to uncover deeper levels of connection to yourself and in your business so that you can lead the path you desire and how you want your life to look and feel while creating effortlessly from a place of deep knowing, I invite you to download my guide to reconnect with yourself HERE.
